Your History Is Worth Preserving

This Is My Tale believes that first-person accounts are the most accurate way to depict an individual’s unique experiences and life adventures. Hence, we produce video memoirs to give justice to your personal anecdotes, memories, and family heritage.

Giving Importance to Your Narrative

Through our video interviews and memorials, the next generation will be allowed to pay tribute to your life in a more meaningful manner. Show your descendants who you are through still pictures and written documents.

Sharing Your Wisdom

Wisdom comes from lessons you learn in life. Creating a video memoir will allow your family and future generations to derive their own pieces of wisdom by living vicariously through you.

To quote Edmund Burke, a former Irish-British statesman and philosopher: People will not look forward to posterity, who never look backward to their ancestors.

Immortalizing Your Family History

Online ancestry offers a simple and limited overview of your lineage. On the other hand, video interviews provide more personal and accurate accounts of your family history and perceptions.

Relaying your experiences through a video memoir will create a more immersive experience for generations to come. It will allow them to witness and hear about your family history in a more engaging and stirring manner.

Camera Shy?

Our interviewers strive to make each interaction feel more like a casual one-on-one conversation. We maintain a positive atmosphere and create a judgment-free zone where your comfort is our top priority. In fact, many clients have found this therapeutic.

How It Works

Our team works rigorously to ensure each session is completed smoothly and efficiently. To do so, we observe the following procedure.

Step One

Schedule your appointment today, and prepare for your experience with our interviewer. We will then send an email with the specific details.

If you choose to do a memorial, book a consultation with our team to create a plan tailored to your preferences. We will gather pictures, video clips, and documents and prepare a song list to pay tribute to you or your loved ones.

Step Two

Confirm when you would like to do the interview. We will send the list of questions through email. You may also provide additional information and points of emphasis you would like to include in the video. Interviews may be conducted at your desired location.

Step Three

The interview may last for 15, 30, 60, or even 120 minutes—that’s entirely up to you. There is no right or wrong time frame. The duration will depend largely on the extensiveness of the Q&A session and how you want to approach it.

Step Four

After the interview process, we will edit the video. This may include eliminating conversational lulls, inserting relevant pictures or documents, and providing a final cut. Once approved, the video will be stored on a USB.

This can then be shared with your family, friends, and loved ones. You may also request us to post the video on an online database where you may retrieve it digitally at any time.
